This special issue speaks to recent trends in the study of parents and parenting with intellectual disabilities. Research included in the special issue consolidates and expands knowledge in four key areas; 1) parenting skills and training, 2) contextual factors, 3) children of parents with intellectual disabilities, and 4) parental experiences and resistance strategies.
